Through JA Take Stock in Your Future®, students discover the benefits and challenges of investing in the stock market as part of a broader, long-term investment strategy and the risks and rewards of trading. (grades 9-12) The program includes five 45- minute sessions, with additional extended learning activities and optional digital assets offered throughout, including an optional online or site-based JA Stock Market Challenge competition.

The JA Stock Market Challenge presented by Citizens introduces learners in grades 9th-12th to the stock market. Participants learn the basics through JA Take Stock in Your Future and apply their learning in a fast-paced simulated stock market environment where each day is only one minute long. Students compete for fun prizes in teams of 3-4 players and must make decisions quickly about a set of fictional stocks and interpret current events and trends in the market.
The team with the highest ROI after 60 days wins the JA Stock Market Champion title.
